Francis is known for his firsts in many industries – he launched the first medical spas in the U.S, opened the first resort spa on the east coast, was the first day spa operator to incorporate cosmetic lasers, and took the first corporate owned chain of medical spas out of bankruptcy – flipping it within 18 months.

Francis is a noted industry speaker, and has presented keynote addresses, seminars and webinars at many industry events, conferences, and conventions. In addition, he also produces the premier digital marketing event for the Medical Aesthetic industry – the REACH Digital Summits. Francis is also actively published, and has been a contributing writer for many well-known industry resources. Francis has given back to the industries he has been active in over the years. Francis is the past president and treasurer of the International Spa Associate (ISPA) Foundation, past board member of ISPA, past chairman of the International Racquet Sports Club Association’s Spa Advisory Council, past board member of the Day Spa Association, and past treasurer and president of the Medical Spa Society.
